ASIST/Assister: What is a Mission Statement
In order to define the interests or concerns of an organization so that all can understand what is, and is not, within a particular group’s focus, organizations tend to develop written Mission Statements. In general terms, such a document expresses the scope of activities the group plans to undertake, or is already performing.
